The 2023 African-European Open was held on Memory League (memoryleague.com) this past weekend, with 16 strong memory competitors from across the world.
Simon Reinhard emerged victorious, winning the African-European Open for the first time to go along with two season championships in Memory League. The victory propelled Simon to #1 in the Memory League World Rankings, a truly remarkable feat.
He defeated newcomer Matteo Cillo in the final, who had some amazing results this weekend, breaking two Memory League world records by memorizing 30 Images in 8.60 seconds and 30 Names in 32.51 seconds.
