At the moment many of us around the world are staying home and self-isolating. It is easy to reach for the TV remote and a packet of chips. Perhaps for some of us it can be used instead as an opportunity to do additional memory training.

A quiet time without as many interruptions seems well suited to focusing on the inner self, so make sure memory training is part of your new indoor routine. As Einstein said, ‘In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity’. When we succeed in this challenge that faces the whole world, you may be well advanced as a memory athlete.

And you don’t have to wait to test out your skills! The IAM is excited to announce to you our first fully-digital remote tournament in association with Memory League.

This is happening soon, on the weekend May 23/24th 2020 so register now.

It follows the format of previous Memory League live competitions. The registration fee has been kept to a very reasonable 10 Euros and the competition is open to athletes across the world. Please register by May 16th 2020. So, get into your training and join the online fun.

See this post for more details and to register for the First Remote Memory League Championship.

Because this competition is driven by the Memory League software, competitors will be able to participate even while in lockdown.

While training at home ensure you access the wide range of online resources and tools, and don’t forget to visit Memory League to prepare for the competition by training in the Memory League formats.

If you have registered for any IAM tournament and are not sure whether it will take place, please make sure to contact the organizer or get in touch with IAM.

Stay healthy!
